The Sentinel System

NCP Services has pioneered the use of body worn cameras, - and bespoke back-office support systems - to assist with staff safety and enforcement.

Called the Sentinel System, it has at its heart a state-of the art body worn portable recording device which provides a real time audio and visual record of Enforcement activities.
The Sentinel camera system was developed exclusively for NCP Services to ensure it is light, robust and powerful enough to cope with demands of enforcement activities.

CameraThe camera is backed up by Sentinel's bespoke back-office data storage system, to enable instant access to relevant footage and secure storage for evidential purposes.

It has already proved extremely effective in improving staff safety, and also has practical applications in providing evidence to police of street crime, providing evidence of environmental incidents to Local Authorities, and providing reassurance to the public that the service is being delivered in line with their expectations. Sound and images are recorded on a tamper proof storage device which provides court standard evidence.

The unit consists of a head mounted camera which is linked to a portable hard drive. Our Sentinel System unit is the only commercially available head cam unit to have been thoroughly tested within a Civil Enforcement environment, and conforms to the latest Home Office and Information Commissioner guidance on usage and data storage.
The internal re-chargeable battery pack powers the unit and camera for up to 10 hours . The unique combination of the microphone and remote control allow the user to pause or stop the unit from recording without having to access the unit.

The NCP Services Sentinel System is available as a bespoke package to public and private clients. To find out more about the system, contact Andrew Bradley on 07793 696 652.
