NCP SERVICES, the 3i backed transport and related services provider, has announced the appointment of Steve Dolton as CFO with immediate effect. He was previously group finance director of Azzurri Communications, the fast-growing voice and data organisation which he co-founded in 2000. From inception to 2006 the company was listed in Deloittes Fastest Growing Companies List and featured in the Sunday Times Tech Track and Profit Track 100s. Since the company’s sale in 2006 he has been operations director.
Prior to that he has worked with a number of services companies, including Safety Kleen, the pan-European cleaning services company, and Peek plc, which designs and manufactures traffic systems to international markets in the USA, Europe and Asia. Steve commented: “I have worked in a number of fast-growing, entrepreneurial companies -and that culture is exactly what attracted me to NCP Services. This is also my fourth transaction with 3i and they have always shown a keen interest in supporting growing companies. “We are in a very challenging market but we have a dynamic team here who are committed to us remaining market leaders in parking enforcement, and growing rapidly into new markets.”
Steve’s appointment strengthens the management team at NCP Services, which has also seen the appointment of Mark Underwood as chief executive and Mike Jeffries as chairman in July.
Mark commented: “I am delighted to welcome Steve aboard – his experience will be invaluable in the next stage of NCP Services’ development.”
Notes to editors
NCP Services is the UK market leader in parking enforcement, and also runs services including debt recovery, urban planning and design, airport services and BPO outsourcing.
The group was demerged from the NCP car parks group in March 2007 - when the car parks operation was sold to Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund II, and is now a standalone business.
It runs services for more than 50 local authorities, and two Government departments – the DVLA and the Northern Ireland Roads Service.
The company also has separate divisions running airport services at Heathrow and Gatwick, debt recovery for a number of local authority clients, on street bus operations in London and a London-based urban planning and traffic consultancy.
